Around the world, human spaceflight has traditionally been enabled through national space agencies and government investment.

The fact that Australians have come together to raise private support for this opportunity is unusual and significant.

It demonstrates the strength of support across Australian industry, research, philanthropy and the community for Australia to participate in human spaceflight.

Private support does not replace the role of government. It demonstrates the value Australians place on the opportunity.

The ultimate decision to enter into a human spaceflight partnership rests with the Australian Government. The role of this campaign is to demonstrate the breadth and depth of support for Australia to seize the opportunity while it exists.

Letters of Support

There are many types of supporters of this campaign. Let’s begin with those organisations that have contributed a Letter of Support to Prime Minister Albanese and Cabinet Ministers to officially speak to their support for Australis to accept the European Space Agency’s offer to incorporate a spaceflight for Katherine Bennell-Pegg in their cooperative agreement. Over time we look forward to acknowledging all types of support that have been contributed to this campaign, including those that have committed to the co-contribution fund, and all of those tireless individuals who work quietly to get the message where it needs to go.
